Murder investigation launched following double stabbing in Uxbridge

The Metropolitan Police are investigating a fatal stabbing that took place at  council offices located on a busy west London high street.

A teenage boy has died following a stabbing incident at the Civic Centre in Uxbridge. The Civic Centre is the administrative headquarters for the London Borough of Hillingdon, located in the High Street in Uxbridge. The incident is believed to have happened inside offices used by the Youth Offending Service.

A witness who wished to remain anonymous described the scene: “I heard a commotion and saw a young male on the floor, it looked like he had been stabbed, security where trying to help him,  it’s shocking, it’s happening every day and doesn’t seem to be stopping. Something needs to change and now”

Whilst taking pictures our reporter was approached by a concerned parent, worried as she hadn’t heard from her son.

Officers can be seen inside the building along with forensic investigators.

Police were called at 16:38hrs on Thursday, 7 November to reports of a stabbing at High Street, Uxbridge. Officers and London Ambulance Service attended. A teenage boy at the scene had suffered a stab wound to the chest. The injured male was taken by ambulance to a west London hospital where he was pronounced dead at 17:25hrs. A post mortem examination will be scheduled in due course. Enquiries are underway to notify the next of kin. At this early stage there have been no arrests. A second male, also in his teens, had suffered a knife injury to the ear. His injuries are not life threatening. Enquiries continue.

A section 60 was authorised at 17:38hrs to 08:37hrs on Friday, 8 November., Meaning officers can search anybody in the designated area without the need for reasonable suspicion.
